मिठीबाई कॉलेजविरोधात राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचे विद्यार्थी व महिला आक्रमक मिठीबाई कॉलेजमध्ये घडलेली लैंगिक छळाची घटना दडपण्याचे काम कॉलेज प्रशासनाकडून होत आहे. यावर राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसच्या विद्यार्थी व महिला विंगने आवाज उठवला आहे. प्राचार्य डॉ. राजपाल हांडे यांच्यावर लैंगिक छळाचा आरोप असूनही त्यांना अटक होत नाही ही खेदजनक गोष्ट आहे. याची दखल घेत मुंबई शहर विभागीय विद्यार्थी अध्यक्ष एड. अमोल मातेले व मुंबई शहर विभागीय महिलाध्यक्ष सुरेखा पेडणेकर यांच्या पुढाकाराने आंदोलन पुकारण्यात आले. दरम्यान महिला आयोगाच्या सचिव मंजुषा मोळवणे यांना यासंदर्भात निवेदन सादर करून प्राचार्य हांडे यांच्यावर कठोर कारवाईची मागणी करण्यात आली.
या आंदोलनाला उत्तर-मध्य महिला जिल्हाध्यक्ष डॉ. सुरैना मल्होत्रा, जिल्हाध्यक्ष सौ. आरती साळवी, फुर्कान शेख, अब्बास जेमानि व इतर तालुका, वॉर्ड पधाधिकारी व कार्यकर्ते उपस्थित होते.
NCP Student and Women Wing protest against Mithibai College.
College administration is trying to suppress sexual harassment incidents in Mithibai College. NCP students and women wing have raised voice over this. It is a sad fact that Principal Dr. Rajpal Hande is not arrested even though he is accused of sexually assaulting her. Henceforth we protested and then met the Maharashtra State Women Commission Secretary Smt. Manjusha Mulwane handed over the memorandum and demanded strict action against Mr. Hande.
